Pour commencer la semaine, un article sur une question d’actualit\u00e9 br\u00fblante, en fran\u00e7ais et en anglais.<\/p>\n

Today, I will tell you a bit about a very big issue in the Mosel region in Germany. But first, in French.<\/p>\n

Je trouve que cette question vraiment urgente manque tragiquement de visibilit\u00e9 donc je me permets de reprendre cette actualit\u00e9 importante : il est temps de faire le plus de bruit possible autour de ce projet.<\/p>\n

Pour remettre les choses dans son contexte : une autoroute est en train d’\u00eatre construite en plein milieu de la Mosel allemande. Tr\u00e8s exactement au dessus de Bernkastel et Graach. Enfin, un pont, j’ai bien dit un pont, va passer au dessus de \u00dcrzig. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas la r\u00e9gion, c’est comme si on faisait passer une autoroute au dessus de Gevrey-Chamertin et qu’on construise un pont pour passer au dessus de Morey-Saint-Denis et Chambolle-Musigny.<\/p>\n

Outre la catastrophe esth\u00e9tique et \u00e9cologique, on est quand m\u00eame dans une des plus belles r\u00e9gions viticoles du monde et ce pont en plus d’\u00eatre affreux est vraiment construit \u00e0 un des pires endroits, c’est un massacre viticole (allez voir o\u00f9 passe l’autoroute…).\u00a0En bref, ce pont est un vestige des ann\u00e9es 60-70, ressorti des cartons pour des raisons un peu obscures. Il n’est pas rentable (dernier ratio b\u00e9n\u00e9fice\/co\u00fbt estim\u00e9 \u00e0 1,8\/1) et \u00e0 l’heure actuelle ne servira pas \u00e0 grand chose. Le pr\u00e9judice est donc \u00e9norme (pas que d’un point de vue viticole) et le gain minime.<\/p>\n

En tant qu’\u00e9trangers, nous ne pouvons pas vraiment influer sur la d\u00e9cision finale, seuls les Allemands y peuvent quelque chose, mais en relayant l’information, toujours, encore, on donne une visibilit\u00e9 au probl\u00e8me. Ce sont les pressions internationales (notamment Hugh Johnson, Decanter, Janis Robinson…) qui ont permis de mettre en lumi\u00e8re, sur la sc\u00e8ne politique, ce projet kafka\u00efen.<\/p>\n

Il est urgent de relayer l’information, partout, tous les jours, car ce projet est en marche. Le pont devrait \u00eatre mis en construction \u00e0 la fin 2011. Mais jusqu’en \u00e9t\u00e9, il y a de l’espoir, des \u00e9lections, des actions…<\/p>\n

I think that this is a very important question. And it is high time to relay the information.<\/p>\n

A highway and a bridge are being build right in the middle of the Mosel valley in Germany. You could compare that to building a highway in the middle of Burgundy!<\/p>\n

In addition to being an environmental and aesthetic catastrophe, it will be a disaster for the vineyard (just check where this highway runs). This highway is a remain of an old project that dates back to the 70’s which is nowadays useless and worthless (cost\/benefit ratio is estimated to 1\/1,8!!). Therefore the stakes are very high for very low profits expected. For example, this will kill the touristic value of the region!<\/p>\n

As foreigners, we cannot do much about the decision which will be the Germans’. However we can help focusing the attention on this problem and thus help them fight against this kafkian project. Today is time to act as the bridge is planned to be build in the second part of 2011. So please feel free to relay the information everywhere, everyday until it will be dismissed!<\/p>\n
