Therefore I expected an interesting bottle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wineops.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/02\/f_ll_sauvignon_lahn.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1033\" title=\"f_ll_sauvignon_lahn\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/wineops.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/02\/f_ll_sauvignon_lahn.jpg\" width=\"188\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wineops.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/f_ll_sauvignon_lahn.jpg 188w, https:\/\/www.wineops.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/f_ll_sauvignon_lahn-125x300.jpg 125w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">St.Michael-Eppan is a big wine producer based in S\u00fcdtirol-Alto Adige, in this part of Italy close toAustria. The wine style and grape varieties used are quite different from the rest of the Italian production. For example, you can find there Gewurstraminer, Pinot Noir, Riesling&#8230; and the style is very nordic, very much alike southern Austrian wines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The<em><strong> Sauvignon Blanc Lahn 2008<\/strong><\/em> is part of the \u00ab\u00a0Cru line\u00a0\u00bb of St.Michael-Eppan, being more terroir driven wines. It displays a discrete and not too complex nose. The \u00ab\u00a0cat&rsquo;s pee\u00a0\u00bb or grassy typical sauvignon flavor is definitely here. However, it lacks a bit of something. In the mouth, the wine is not very expressive, a bit shallow, a bit flabby&#8230; it lacks acidity and seems to be high in alcohol. This wine is plain and not exciting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Wineops&rsquo; rating:<span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"> 63\/100<\/span> ; 0 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Nothing to really add. The structure is not bad but it is obviously a week vintage.
